Practice Find has been retained by Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa.  Wayne County Hospital (WCH) is currently going through a $5 million dollar expansion program renovating the Emergency Department and adding a Private Patient wing.  The committment is outstanding by both the current medical staff and the community for the continued growth of WCH.  This also shows in the latest Patient Satisfaction Survey with a ranking of 99%.
 
The community is family oriented and welcoming for new physicians.  Two primary care physicians have started last year and an Orthopedic Surgeon will begin in October 2008.  This is a great place to work and live.  The area offers hunting and fishing as well as boating and access to major sporting events (Kansas City is only 2 hours away and Des Moines is about an hour and 20 minutes).  With its low cost of living, friendly attitude and easy access to major metropolitan areas this southeastern Iowa community is ideal for families.  Also, Iowa schools are ranked #2 in the nation and Corydon has almost a non existent crime rate allowing families with children to be able to be confident that education, family and community are a priority.

Wayne County Hospital operates as a tax-exempt community owned, 25-bed licensed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) with 6 full-time physicians, 2 Physician Assistants and 2 Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated team of health care professionals, including more than twenty visiting Specialty Clinic physicians. The hospital is the largest employer in the county serving a population of 6,600 people in Wayne County plus surrounding areas. (2002 Census)
Wayne County Hospital is licensed by the state of Iowa Department of Health, is accredited by Medicare, and is a member of the American Hospital Association (AHA)and the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA).
